The ModStepper lets you switch on any selector from any pair of keys on your midi keyboard.
Now you can easily select between filter modes, waveforms etc. of your favourite devices from your keyboard. Just tap e.g. key C#0 to select previous and D#0 to select next. You control the ModStepper with any gate or trigger CV input signals, which you typically get from MidiTapper devices, but Kong or Thor can also be used, and maybe other REs too. With up to 32 steps, you can even find it useful to use ModStepper for continuous knobs and faders. ModStepper primarily targets modulation of stepped knobs, switches or faders, but can also be used for continuous controllers.
This is a CV transformation device which typically takes pulse and gate signals on the inputs and generates a steady signal level on the output.
The typical use of the ModStepper lets you switch on any selector from any pair of keys on your midi keyboard. You can control the ModStepper with any gate or trigger CV input signals, which you typically get from MidiTapper devices, but Kong or Thor can also be used, and maybe other REs too. The MidiTapper, however, is especially well suited to use all the features of the ModStepper. The output CV can go directly to the modulation socket of the selector, if there is one, else you use a Combinator CV input and route this in the Combinator programmer to affect the target selector.

There are three up/down pairs of buttons/inputs, which move the out level in different amounts, and one knob to specify how many steps there should be on the output between 0.0V and 1.0V (for the unipolar output).
NUMBER OF STEPS
Defines how many steps there is from end to end on the outputs. Available numbers goes from 1 to 32.
Up and down buttons/signals:
- FULL to immediately move the outputs to full low or high end level. Activate both at the same time to move output to mid point.
- STEP to move the output one step at the time
- JUMP to move in larger steps. 1/5 of the full scale to be exact, which is 0.2V on the unipolar output.
